Yummy Cobbler!

I have always said that I did not eat baked fruit. Well I have to admit that I have been made a lair! I learned how to make this wonderful Blackberry cobbler at the WITO event. I took a class on dutch oven cooking and had the opportunity to win a dutch oven but did not, no Thanks to Misty LOL she won it! The next thing that I am going to invest in is a few DO to make some great cobblers and a few other things that I learned.

Weekend with the Girls!

I had a great time this past weekend! I with to a Women in the Outdoors Weekend hosted at the Floyd County Wildlife Club. This is a group picture of most of us( I know of at one that is not in the pic) in front of the clubhouse. I made some great new friends, that I can not wait to get together with again. First trip of the year was taken by the Mrs.

My Hubby is the greatest! The wildlife club where we belong had a WITO (Women in the Outdoors) weekend, and he sent me! I had a blast. This is a picture of the camper on the lake at the club! Thanks Bart! I missed you so much, but I had a GREAT time with the girls in the woods. I can not wait to go again next time! Shout Out to the WITO! I had great time! See ya in April ladies!

New Shelf

First we cut two pieces of wood the width of the rack and stained them. Then cut the bottom shelf off leaving the wires on like legs or supports. We bought drawer rollers cut them and made these long brackets to slip the wires into for support. We bought the white screw covers to help make it look nice. I love it.

Me and Dad are working together

Hey, I'm Treyton! My Daddy and me are making Mama a shelf to put her spices and other things. My Daddy says I am a great helper. Here is a pic of the wire rack that we are going to use to make the shelf.

Curtains Too!

I made curtains to match the slip covers. I took down the old curtains and used a sem ripper and carefully took the plastic pieces off that slide into the slots. I measured, cut, and roll hemmed each panel then sewed the plastic pieces on to the new curtains. I bought the fabric at Wal Mart on the clearance rack for a $1.oo a yard. It took about 12 yards for the curtains. The fabric was good and thick, with out tented windows I did not have to line them. One night we came home and did not even realize that we had left the lights on in the camper earlier that day when we were packing it.

A mod for the Ladies.

In this pic you can see that the original fabric on the bunk end that was the brown checked pattern, popular in the 80's. I made slip covers for my table cushions. I measured the length and the height of the cushion x 2 ( Ex. 19 inches long and the height was 3 inches in height...19 +3+3=25 inches ) then measured the width plus the height again and got the dementions for the amount of fabric that I needed. then I centered the cushion in th middle and put a dot at each corner. I cut each corner to the dot matched it up and sewed each corner to make a slip cover. It just slips over the top on the cushion. I roll hemmed the edges so they would look good.
